Sig 522 Magazines

#1 Post by nfarmer »

New to the gun and not yet in my possession. Want to get a couple of spare mags, 25 rounds. Which mags do people recommend. And where to bbuy them.

Thanks

Norman;

The mags I use are made and sourced from Lantac here in the UK. Good kit, well made and never had any issues with them. I also purchased and used mags by Black Dog but had nothing but trouble with them including stove pipes and numerous failures to feed. For some owners they work fine though.
If you type Black Dog magazine issues into the utube search function you'll get an idea of what the problem is. Prices for both types are about the same so you pays your money and takes your chances ....

Oh, and the Sig 522 is a great bit of kit.

Are the sig mags the same as the Cmmg/Lantac/spikes style .22 AR mags?

Well I've recently been suffering problems with Black Dog mags (new from Riflemags) in my Sig 522, using CCI MiniMags.

As a company Riflemags are great..... the Magpul 9mm (glock)mags that I use in my Southern Gun Company lever-release are perfect.
