Best shop to get a Reloading Kit?

I've dealt with McAvoy's on several occasions & they carry a fair range of RCBS stuff.

Their prices are as good as it gets in the UK & there's always someone who knows their stuff available to talk to.

Kits can be very good indeed - RCBS Rockchucker Supreme Master Reloading Kit (what a bleedin' mouthful....) being a case in point.

I bought RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Press and definitely it is one of the best reloading press on the market . I found great reviews about it on the net and ordered on amazon . It is worth for every penny .

It is indeed a very nice (and very heavy) press, I only bought one so I could use the In-Line Fabrication auto case ejection system to make my life easier when sizing lots of cases :)

Not as expensive as it sounds as it was on offer at Midway USA at the time for just over £90

In fact it's back on offer at £100 for anyone going over to the USA :)

Lee Breech Lock (pref. the cast version) will do everything most reloaders need a lot cheaper :)

When I started ,money was tight so all I bought was Lee stuff. On ebay in the olden days including ebay in US. Have not regretted it.

I also have a Lee Classic Turret that was supposed to be a temporary press...until I could afford 'better'...I still use it every time I reload & that 'better press is still in the shop. I did remove the index bar though as I prefer to move the turret myself. I don't think Lee presses are inferior in any way to more expensive ones. Just my take on it of course..

I can't remember when the Lee turret press first came out---late 70s or early '80s I think. Anyway, I bought one then. It has loaded tens of thousands of rounds without a problem of any sort until last week. The little plastic ratchet that turns the turret wore out. Fortunately, it was supplied with a spare which I had kept safely. The question now is: how long will the replacement last? Will it see me out? (I am 75).
I also have single station presses, a Lee and a RCBS. These tend to be used for decapping and case forming.

No its round! The square one is for the four hole press which wasn't even a gleam in Mr Lee's eye when mine was made,

I started out with the RCBS Rockchucker Master kit some 25 years ago now... a very good press that I still use for all of my single work to this day. I do have a Piggyback, but now have two progressives alongside the RCBS that negate the former.

Dauntseys Guns will match or better on price.
