Some sort of device to lock breech forward ? For extra quiet single shots ?

I had such a device on an old ruger 10/22 z- a lever I could swing into place to lock the bolt.

Seeing as you've been rumbled and the idea is in the public domain now can you post a drawing please. I may have a bash at this. :good:

Patents are theft man :) it’s still in my head, I was wondering about an inner sleeve on the FA so you push the whole lot in and it locks a bit like a biro.

Then Twist to release or what would be best is an adjusted forward assist adapter too so that the charging handle would release the lock. The problem chiefly is fit. It needs the be either precise or close on a ratchet type affair to adjust for tolerances.

I’m no machinist, need a partner for this. I’ve got a local firm in mind unless anyone here is very keen and has the experience!
