Rifles possibly for sale....
I am thinking of reducing my "collection" and if there is any interest I may part company with the following:
1. .577 Three Band Snider by BSA in superb condition
2. 8mm Kropatschek bolt action rifle in very good condition. I have some cases if wanted.
3. 577/450 Martini Henry in very good condition.
All these are Section 58(2) ...no FAC required.
4. .22" SMLE fitted with Australian "Lane" vernier Target sight, lovely condition and very accurate even out to 200 yards. FAC required
Any interest send me a PM

4. .22" SMLE fitted with Australian "Lane" vernier Target sight, lovely condition and very accurate even out to 200 yards. FAC required......£400

Re: Rifles possibly for sale....
Only three pictures per post so I will start with the .22" SMLE: Built on a 1916 Mk111 action converted to .222 by A.G.P. Parker:
Re: Rifles possibly for sale....
Now the Martini Henry: it is a BSA&MC dated 1878, refinished in service and one of many that went into store in India. I cannot find any distinct regimental markings:
Re: Rifles possibly for sale....
The Kropatschek: Manufactured by Steyr in Austria in 1886 for Portugal, 8 shot under barrel tube magazine, originally for an 8mm blackpowder cartridge later converted to a low powered smokeless cartridge and the rear sight altered.
Re: Rifles possibly for sale....
And finally the Snider...a three bander manufactured by BSA&MC in 1875, a Mk111 action. This is a commercial grade rifle made for Portugal. It is in top class condition with 99% of the bluing remaining, I have been asked if it is a conversion of a Parker Hale muzzle loader.....answer: no, completely original.

Re: Rifles possibly for sale....
I could be interested in the .22 No2.
Does it have the conversion marks on the reveiver wrist and is the sight struck for 25yrds?
Are there any markings on the muzzle?
Also are the original safety catch parts with it and is the magazine marked for .22"
