Ruger Precision .223

#1 Post by daryldiane »

Anyone tired of their Ruger Precision .223 yet?
Would also consider Tikka super TX3 Varmint with 1/8 barrel, or CZ 527 laminate varmint with the 1/9 twist.
Thanks

I don't believe Ruger made them in .223.
308, 243 and 6.5CM initially
Then 308, 6.5CM and 6mmCM for the Mark 2.

They do make a .223 as I have been making cleaning rod guides for them recently.

Yes they've just come out , sell for between 1700-1850, a bit rich for me at the moment.
Be happy with around 1500, but doubt if any on the second hand market yet.

Do the decent thing, buy a Tikka :)

I have both the Ruger RPR and Tikka TacA1 in 6.5CM, the difference in fit and finish is very obvious even to the naked eye.

I stand corrected.
However in my defence I did check Ruger's website before I posted, where it fails to mention that the RPR is available in .223.

I was interested in a Ruger PR in .223, until learning of the price circa £1700 / £1800, when I only paid £1150 for my Ruger PR in 6.5CM.
