Musgrave .308 Target Rifle.

#1 Post by bnz41 »

Musgrave .308 target rifle, with matching numbers on receiver and bolt, believe made late 90’s. All weather competition long range target rifle that can hit the v bull at a 1000yards.
Original wood stock has been dipped by Hydro Graphics in a camo pattern to make it water proof so rifle can be used in all weathers. Under the fore end, a rail, Harris bipod stud & legs fitted.

Action is a Mauser style, one of the best actions you can have and is bedded into the stock, manual single round feed (no magazine). 30" barrel is fully free floating. Rifle tailored to shoot competition SMK 155gr bullets out to 1000yds. Bore is in very good condition, action is smooth. A nice rifle to shoot, but sadly I do not get much chance to use it anymore. It has been a cabinet queen far too long. Outer metalwork is in excellent condition neither suffering from pitting or rust. Match adjustable trigger fitted with a very smooth pull.

M&S target rear sights fitted in perfect condition with positive adjustment clicks, a Parker Hale 6 position eyepiece, matched with a tubed fore sight which allows you to change the element hole size. A 20MOA Picatinny (Weaver Type), slotted rail has been fitted by “Fulton’s of Bisley” to allow the fitting of a scope. The scope is a Falcon 5.5-25x50 FFP model, 30mm tube with lens covers with box. As new, only used 3 times, fitted with Leupold quick release medium rings, can be removed without loss of zero, so either sight can be used. This an ideal package for someone starting out on the competition trail.

£800 face to face transaction or RFD to RFD transfer if buyer pays costs, or could meet at Bisley.

If it's anything like mine, you've got a cracker..............add a Davies 2-stage trigger.
