Ex-pat shooting enthusiast, can't wait to come back home!

#1 Post by teenwolf »

Hi all,

My name is Chris, I'm 29 years old and I'm an expatriated Brit. I grew up in Gloucestershire, then moved to Sweden for 5 years, after which I moved to Germany. For various personal reasons in about 3 years time I plan to move back to the UK, and at that time I will be looking to take up sport shooting. I grew up around guns (air rifles and shotguns mostly) and have always enjoyed shooting as a hobby, but never owned a firearm myself. I did get into Airsoft in Sweden in quite a big way, and own a SystemA PTW Airsoft rifle. I'm not sure how Airsoft is considered around here, but I can tell you it is played very differently in Sweden.

Would love to get to know people and find out what my options will be once I return to the UK in terms of getting into sport shooting (3-gun would be nice, but I gather that it's not really possible in the UK).

Any questions?

Servus ,
Gott im Himmel !! I'd rather have a FAC in Germany than in England anyday, if only for the hand-guns... Part of the German toys could also brought back to the UK in 3 years time O:-)

NB - those Swedish camo pants are the nuts :good:

Froggy's right. Do the pistol shooting while you can in Germany.
Then in three years when you come back to the UK, there's time enough to shoot under our more restricted regime.
