barrel cleaning?

New to the sport? Or just not sussed something out yet? Please ask your questions in here, there are many experienced shooters on the forum and someone will for sure come along and answer your question. This is a section for new shooters so if anyone can think of something please submit it.

Me too, one pull with the snake, last six inches sprayed with a touch of 3 in 1, then into the cupboard.
Dry patch and mop out chamber with brake cleaner just prior to packing for next shoot.

My rifles get cleaned ( wipeout, plastix brush and patches ) after every use. Whether one round or one hundred rounds fired.

On my .22s only the action and muzzle ( and integral suppressor ) get cleaned.

I clean mine every 1000 rounds even if it doesn't need cleaning.

Black powder guns do get cleaned after use.

Think my 10/22 hasnt been cleaned in 10 years. shot most weeks...

My 10/22 and Marlin underlever used to get cleaned once a year, just before Phoenix... but not the barrels, just the actions to try to make sure they didn't jam..
