Lee-Enfield Singer No.4 MKII Pigsticker bayonet and frog

#1 Post by Dark Skies »

Singer N67 (1942 - 1944) bayonet for the No.4 Lee Enfield rifle.
Very nice condition. A few tiny dings on the scabbard but blacking is much better than usual.
Comes with the correct canvas frog. Unfortunately some pongo has scribbled his name and serial number on the back in no uncertain terms on the back. £25 includes insured courier. PayPal money as a gift so I don't get stuck with outrageous fees.

We all did that in the Army, on everything. It's not like we had a choice. If you didn't before parade somebody would surreptitiously swap your nice clean/polished item with his dirty/rusty item (or just nick it without bothering to leave anything).

It is different nowadays. Here in NZ they don't issue bayonets to individuals - they keep them in the Q-Store and you draw one only when needed.
