Bolt actionmagazine fed .22Lr for target competition
Hi
I'm looking for a (New) .22 magazine fed target rifle for competition up to 50 maybe 100. Any ideas? Price £600 ish maybe + for the right gun
Thanks
Jack

What sort of competition are you thinking of Jack? Virtually all .22 target rifles are single shot. There are the odd cross over rifles, sort of accurate sporting rifles or sportified target rifles but I don't think they would be competitive against a "Target" rifle.
Rifles like the old BSA Supersport five/Century or even a good CZ 542, maybe an original Sako Finnfire (range)or Anschutz 1416 might fit the bill.

The tikka is proving extraordinarily popular with the rabbits etc.....dunno if it's anything to do with the finnfire 2 not cutting it or not but I've heard the tikka is very accurate...

I went to my local RFD yesterday and was very interested in the Ruger Precision Rimfire .22 not a target rifle but bolt action, 15 round mag and very good reviews from what I have seen and £600 right on budget.

Fairly sure Geek on here has one and would be able to chip in his views of it.Sabertooth wrote:I went to my local RFD yesterday and was very interested in the Ruger Precision Rimfire .22 not a target rifle but bolt action, 15 round mag and very good reviews from what I have seen and £600 right on budget.
