Searching for illustrated books on John Moses Browning and Samuel Colt, if you have any that you have finished with.

I have a copy of "Browning - Sporting Arms of Distinction" by Matt Eastman, hardback 428 pages. But it wouldn't be cheap!!

Can't speak for Browning but there are probably more books on Colt than any other firearms manufacturer - I have over sixty. They range from inexpensive 'coffee table' books to very expensive out of print volumes with a wealth of information. It depends on what you want - a concise history of the man and the company of a book full of pretty pictures. If it's the latter then check out Amazon as they are offering a new edition of "Colt - The Revolver of the American West" which is scheduled to be available early March at a very good price. A visit to an arms fair may bring results from sellers like Jim Reading or World of Warfare. Just like the guns themselves, Colt books tend to be a bit more expensive than volumes on other manufacturers.
