You may get a good price for it when the government hand out the compensation for taking the mars and 50 cal rifles from you

I thought 50 cal was of the table now, or will they come back and have another go?

Rifles that generate a muzzle energy in excess of 13,600 joules are no longer part of the Offensive Weapons Bill which is now in the Ping-Pong stage of passage in Parliament. The Home Secretary has though committed to further consultation on such rifles, and other firearms related issues across the summer.

There is no clarity on how compensation for lever release and mars action rifles will be calculated. Equally, there is not yet any detail on how the government will determine if an accessory for such rifles has, “no practicable application with any firearm which remains legal”. That being the clause in the bill which sets the context for such payments. Interesting times
