Might be looking for a needle in a haystack here, but I'm looking for either an M39 or M28/30.
I don't mind if it's a bit beaten up, as long as everything works and it has a reasonably good bore and not too much rust. I don't mind what date it's from.
Failing anyone on here having one, does anyone know anywhere that has one or is likely to get one? I'm keeping my eye firmly on Highwood Classic Arms, any other recommendations would be appreciated.

Good luck in your search! I spent a few years looking and when I did find an M39 (once) it had already been sold. There was an M28/30 for sale on here late 2018 I think, might be worth having a look through the for sale section on here.
I settled on an M24 in the end, very happy with it!

There was indeed, but sadly it's been sold. It's a shame, as it was sold barely a week before my FAC came through :(

Mine came from Germany, where I believe most of the de-commissioned Finnish army surplus went . Maybe you should try there ?

Which is a bit ironic as when the DDR reunifed with West Germany a lot of the DDR's military stock went to Finland!.froggy wrote:Keep looking ...

I brought a few in from Finland.
You could also fly over yourself and buy one (or a few) yourself.
Sadly sold my 28/30 and both M39 rifles.
PS Most of the Finn Mosins went to the US.
