OK. My 20-year-old lead melter as described above gave up on me. I took it apart to use the spare parts I had bought some years back.
The new spares are the pot liner, the needle shaft and the 240V element.
My carpal tunnel problem precludes my reassembling the damn thing, which is typical Lee Precision flimsy and difficult. Anyway, I don't need the thing now as I have a new Lyman pot.
£30 posted in UK which is less than I paid for the spare parts.
