Hi from sunny(ish) Sussex
Hi
I've been a shooter for more than 45 years with interests covering all aspect although I must admit I'm not much of a scatter gun shooter.
I currently shoot F-class, Gallery rifle, BP pistol, FAC air .22 etc.
Always keen to learn and share any experience I may have.

Re: Hi from sunny(ish) Sussex
Thanks for the warm welcome guys - My shooting experience started in the 1950's with a Diana Mod 2 pop-out barrel air pistol (Which I still have) to only just a couple of weeks ago I was have a go with a 6mmBr rifle that the chap had made himself from scratch, not buying a load of bits and screwing them together and calling it a custom gun like most of us do. Now I like making bits of shooting kit myself but can you imagine the amount of work involved in making a "one off" receiver, bolt, trigger and stock from scratch.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Welcome.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
Re: Hi from sunny(ish) Sussex
My aspiration is to make something from scratch one day as well. I just need a bigger lathe, a Mill, more space, time, money...Arghhh...1066 wrote:Thanks for the warm welcome guys - My shooting experience started in the 1950's with a Diana Mod 2 pop-out barrel air pistol (Which I still have) to only just a couple of weeks ago I was have a go with a 6mmBr rifle that the chap had made himself from scratch, not buying a load of bits and screwing them together and calling it a custom gun like most of us do. What bits do you make for yourself?
