Space is the issue, I built a zero danger area range, max 100m and it cost £500k plus land costs. Not sure Bisley have that kind of cash sitting about?
However, they were helpful in terms of information and advice when we started the whole process so they do want to support shooting across a wider geographical area.

Not sure where you got that from. The lease of the ranges and danger area, and the bits of the admin site that the NRA doesn't own, was renewed in the late 1990s for 125 years.

I have no idea of the case with the NRA and Bisley, but generally you would renew a lease to remain over 100 years.IainWR wrote:MistAgain wrote:

certainly for flats and apartments the value of a property in the eyes of any lender reduces once below 100 years and then further the lower it gets (it is generally advised to always keep a lease from falling below 80 years). As such there may be an extension coming up to extend the elase again as Mistagain suggests.

Since IainWR is the NRA's full time legal geezer, I'm inclined to believe him.poll007 wrote:As such there may be an extension coming up to extend the elase again as Mistagain suggests.

Fair enough, in which case i assume their lease runs in a different manner to typical residential or commercial leases?
on a similar vein, what parts of the camp does the NRA fully own rather than lease?
