Uberti 1873 Special Sporting Short Rifle

#1 Post by Sim G »

Going to throw this up here to test the water as I've seen something I fancy!

This is an Uberti 1873 Special Sporting Short Rifle, in .44-40.

This has a walnut pistol grip hand checkered stock and fore end. 20" octagonal Barrel. Case coloured receiver. Kranks have these listed at 1235. Lovely, lovely rifles. This has not done very much at all with no marks or dings to speak of. It's in excellent condition.

£850.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I took this out today and took a couple of pictures. I’d forgotten how good it was! This is nigh on mint! The only mark I see is the very slight rubbing at the base of the hammer, where it’s been cocked.
