CZ527 Varmint action screws
I picked up a CZ 527 Varmint, in .223 with a laminate stock and the rear action screw is buggered. Why makes insist on slotted screw heads when it has to be tightened to 40in/lbs is just a conundrum. So, anyone know where I can get some new action screws?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Re: CZ527 Varmint action screws
Yeah I've noticed the same thing with my CZ 527 action screws, despite using well fitted flathead bits but the slot isn't damaged badly at all. If you happen to find a source of replacement screws with a torx slot or similar, please keep this thread updated as I'd like to replace mine with them too!

Metric Low profile socket head screws.
M5 x 0.8 mm 30mm long (for front action screw)
M5 x 0.8 mm 40mm long (for rear action screw)
Google is your friend.
