We drove across to Chesterfield and all of the major towns we drove through seemed to have a tent or two with people in masks manning them.

Vaccine was offered to me Sunday. Got both booked in for next week and then August for the second. Fingers crossed with enough uptake we can get back to some sort of normality in the next few months.

Received my first pfizer/biontech.

Had the typical sore arm at injection site and slept it off, not sure if there's any more immune response to come. Anecdotally the second is the one that hits people the hardest.

Thankfully they have ramped up the second dose in light of the "delta" variant and they will book me in in eight weeks which is a slight improvement over the previous twelve. :good:

I notice the Aussies are applying the company's three week second dose because that's what the manufacturer stipulated.

Received the Astra Zenica one yesterday, they spent 10 minutes explaining issues related to blood clots before giving the jab.

Pain in the arm about 4 inches away from the jab area, seemed a bit strange.

Had both jabs now for just under 3 months. I have now tested positive for covid with 2 lateral flow tests and awaiting a proper test result. At the moment it's just flu like symptoms. With my job I'm shocked this is the first time I've tested positive since this all started. I'm getting paid to sit at home and watch television. Hopefully 10 days time I'll be out running again and back at the gym
