Hello from Sunderland!

#1 Post by Amber Dog »

Hello everyone,

Just a quick hello from a new member, I am an utter novice to shooting but hope to join Mayfair Club in Sunderland (I've just sent away my application). You won't be hearing from me much, as I will just be lurking, taking everything in - newbs should not be seen nor heard.

Welcome to the forum ooLJCoo

Please don't hold back on the questions - not only do most people on here enjoy answering them, but it's easier than trawling though past threads looking for answers....

What sort of disceplines are you looking to shoot?

Thank you for the warm welcome, very much appreciated.

Dougan, I am totally unsure. A chance meeting with an old friend rekindled an old interest that I never fully investigated. Hopefully if I am accepted in to the club I can see what is on offer - however, I do seem to be looking in to target shooting and trap shooting an awful lot. Nevertheless, I know I will have to serve my apprenticeship before looking at this - who knows, once I get to the practical I could total change my aim (no pun intended). What disciplines do you partake in?

ovenpaa, thank you for the welcome - I have done so. The only one Tyne and Wear so far :(

Hi from another site newbie, no matter how long you shoot there is always something more to learn. If I can help with any answers or point you in the right direction I will. I use to do a lot of clay shooting at one time

Welcome to the forum.

Not been in that neck of the woods for a few years...Nissan still there?

Does that city have the spiral tunnel under the river?

Have you tried sporting clays...great fun.

Welcome! Keep asking question, best way to learn.
Dodgyrog and Dromia are down your way and are top blokes with a wealth of knowledge about club and disciplines. I believe Mayfair shoot gallery rifle which is great fun.
