I have one of these.
Very slick action and it will shoot a combination of 38 specials and 357 mags loaded one after another into the magazine without a hint of bother.
I've tried Winchesters / Chiappas / Marlins (real) and Remlins with none of them having anything like the smoothness of the racking action that the Uberti has.
The only action (which I've tried) that equals or comes close to the Uberti is the Henry action.
Accurate and well put together as well. What's not to like ...

try whacking a shortstroke kit on... I have one of these already, I love the special sportings, I have 2 like that.
henrys are good, but they don't like being worked quick.

It's OK putting one of these kits on a used gun but be aware that letting a "gunsmith" modify a new rifle will mean that the manufacturer's warranty is cancelled.
