A few seconds work to cut through the side with a battery grinder - no other guests in during the day to hear it either. So no different to your average house burglary then? If the gun was secured in a box at the hotel then I can’t see how you failed to take reasonable steps to secure it. The particular guest house I named has an always locked external door, along with CCTV. So that’s 2 locked doors and CCTV……. Got to be safer than leaving it overnight in the car.
