Unless you are prepared to pay serious money bore scopes are a waste of time.
I have one at work that cost over £500 I have poked it down every gun I own still none the wiser.

You can hit bargains if you look around, my Olympus was very modestly priced and came with power source, battery pack and numerous spares even though list price ran into the thousands.
