Wish they would sell some onto to the domestic civilian market as well!

Considering the state of the world at the moment I seriously doubt any of us will see mil surp on the civvie market again in our lifetime

I'd be really interested to know what the cost per round at those kind of volume actually is.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Didn't I read somewhere that we (as in the British Forces) destroyed gazillions of rounds of ammo when we left somewhere (Iraq??) as it was not cost effective to ship it back..?

I remember reading a while ago what the American army paid per round and was staggered it was so much. Something like 25 cents for 5.56 and 75 cents for 7.62.
