Five NCA Training Officers sacked for falsification of records

SKY NEWS
Five firearms trainers sacked over falsified records
Five firearms trainers at the National Crime Agency (NCA) have been sacked after it was found they faked official records.
The group were all dismissed for gross misconduct following an internal investigation into claims they had falsified records linked to firearms training between December 2021 and July 2022, the NCA said.
Another three trainers resigned from their jobs before they could face disciplinary hearings, the agency said.
It said two of them would have been sacked and the third would have been given a written warning if they had still been in post.
"Our mission is to protect the public from serious and organised crime, and it is important that we do this with the support and confidence of the people we serve.
"To do this effectively it is essential that we root out misconduct and ensure we only ever have the right people working for us."
Mr Leary said the level of conduct required of officers continues to be made clear, which makes it easier for them to "search out and remove those unsuitable to work at the NCA".

Bit picky really, from what I've just read, yes integrity is out the window, but if your traind your trained......unless they haven't been schooled in some new force procedure etc, someone's got a cob on over this,is there any need for all this wasted time and expenditure, surely the boss could just have them all in and bollock em.

If a HOA club was falsifying its probationer training records or members shooting logs etc., would you expect the committee to receive a bollocking? Or for them to be stripped of their Home Office approval? If we have to be held to that standard, so should they.

One of the reasons Aintree Pistol Club lost its HOA was that its record keeping was at fault .

No one has ever suggested a system either in this country, or AFAIK, abroad where anyone could own, let alone carry a firearm.

Up until 1968 anyone in this country could walk into a gun shop or Ironmongers shop and walk out with a shotgun with no questions asked. It did not cause a problem then, but I realise things are different now.

Hello
Have you not read the news lately, all the criminals already seem to be carrying an assortment of pistols, semi autos, machine pistols, and even AK47s
with a seemingly endless supply being smuggled in the UK. Yet it always seems to be the LICENCED severely restricted firearm holders that get it in the neck .
