Clubs in Dundee area
Are there any clubs in the Dundee area? Got a friend re-locating to Dundee who will be looking for a club to shoot with. Dundee rifle & Pistol club seems to be defunct. I am aware of Tayside air rifle club. Any others please?

Re: Clubs in Dundee area
Dundee Rifle & Pistol Club are still very much active and have just opened a new 100m range to compliment the existing 25m.
DM me an email and I'll pass it on to the secretary.

Tayside Rifle and Pistol Club has an outdoor range a little north of Blairgowrie. Not too pleasant in winter, but a great place to shoot on nice days. Open every day.

Shame these clubs don’t have an internet presence making them easy to find.

Its that long since I posted a picture on here I have forgotten how. If you look on Google Maps for Turin Hill near Forfar then you'll find it to the west.shotgun sam wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2024 6:33 pmCan you please do a screen dump showing the range please”

Re: Clubs in Dundee area
Hi. I have been there many many times when we had pistols, then the lever actions. I actually was having a look through some old photos and came across photos at the range, folk shooting and the prize giving.
It was for the north east groups shooting, we used to visit the following clubs, arbroath, dundee , Aberdeen, Peterhead and my club speyside.
Cheers

Ah, the old NESCC competitions. North East Shooting Clubs Competition. They were really good fun but fizzled out about 6 or 7 years ago as people were unwilling to travel.shoppe wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 3:15 pm Hi.
