Just come across this picture of a maxim 1910 machine gun modified by the Ukrainian military, using scope, suppressor, and stock.
according to reports it is excellent for its sustained fire because of the water jacket.

Great idea but the suppressor looks a bit underwhelming.

All that's needed is a bullet of sufficient weight moving at a suitable speed, hitting the target........who cares how old the gun is?......certainly not the bugger who's hit by it.
The scope might be a bit "academic" when the gun is used in full auto, though...you'd need plenty of eye relief.
