Re: Another new pistol
My dad came from Belfast in the 20s. He passed when I was only 4 years old so I never really knew him.Would love to visit his home town though.
Never argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Since it seems that posting handgun images is generally not considered offensive or taunting, neither of which is my intention, here's a couple pictures of the latest. It is a Ruger New Vaquero 5.5" barrel in .357 . I agonized for days over which version to get: the standard revolver or the version with the modified Bisley grip; .357 or .45 ? I finally went with the standard model mostly because it was available and the .357 because of the large quantity of .38 reloading components I have. Rugers are considered to be tanks. I'm sure someone could break one but they'd have to really work at it.
It is pretty accurate with lead bullet .38s and my mild .357 rounds. Fiocci .357 is also accurate but Aguila .357 was a poor performer. I'll shoot the Aguila rounds through my Rossi 92 which seems to be ok with them.
The holster is a reproduction Army piece but made for a lefty. The two holes in the flap are to accommodate either a Single Action Army revolver or a Schofield top break revolver.
The revolver was a gift from the wife on my birthday, which she told me better last the rest of my life!
If any of you find yourselves in North Carolina, let me know and we'll go to the range.

I certainly don't find that offensive - just envious. :)
