Did the bayonet make any difference?

With the 1940 dated Bulgarian ball we were useing the POI moved approximately 4" higher and nearly 1" to the left at 50m on my M95.

Bulgarian headstamp style: Lion,/40/B-phi/19/.
B-phi is cyrillic for "VF"..Voenni Fabrika== Military Factory ( Khazanlak factory, newly-built after WW I to replace Sofia Arsenal ("CA").

That's actually quite a difference at 50m :geek:

They shoot very well with 70 yr old ammo :good:

Thanks for the info, handy to know these things. :)

An interesting post regarding the difference between the Austrian and the Bulgarian ammunition.

A look inside comparison: 8x56r Austrian vs 8x56r Bulgarian.

In this expanded episode of ‘A look inside’ we’ll inspect and compare
two versions of 8x56r. A 1938 Austrian M30 and a Bulgarian version
of the same.

Good video, it did look a tad cold up there and I assume that was the carbine given it's size?

This was just the icing on the cake - when I saw it on Pukka Bundhooks (back in August?) it was love at first sight! It was Ovenpaa finding the 8x56R brass that first sparked my interest. Cheers. :good:
