Fantastic looking rifle, I always thought that straight pull (section 1) rifles, couldn't be converted from old semi autos or they would still be classified as Section 5, how do they get round this?
I shot one the other day, I have to say it was quite good fun but my only grumble was the little tiny handle on the action was hard work with extraction on some of the cases.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Correct !
Test fired it yesterday - on the money from 100 with the suit, but may need to test some more ammo as it was hard extraction

And heres a video of me shooting it - damn suit sight got in the way
I can't access the website that advertises a straight-pull version of the FN FAL. If that's what is available, somebody PLEASE post the link to the UK civvie legal version of the rifle I used and loved.
I can reccomend the GGG 7.62 ammo that they sell at Bisley, it shoots rather well, its cheap and goes well thrugh the L1A1
Its made in Lithuania and holds good accuracy out to 300 yds.
Enjoy your new toy it certainly looks the business party2

One of my shooting acquaintances has a FAL version straight-pull (not sure who built it) and she had an extended charging handle made for it. It helps a lot and hers likes the 155gn RG 'Bisley' ammo as does my M14/M1A straight pull. My M14/M1A also has an extended charging handle, which helps the extraction issues.
So anybody know anyone with a few thousand rounds of RG 'Bisley' 155gn lying around, I'm interested.
