What was your best shooting acquisition on 2010?

As the subject, what was your best shooting acquisition on 2010? It can be big or small, pricey or even home made.

I am rather pleased with my 7mmC which is showing accuracy way beyond anything I have ever shot before. On the home front I made a few gauges including this COAL gauge which works very nicely. Next year mass production!

Mine would have to be a 1973 manufactured Marlin 336 Octagon, in .30-30, which they only made a coule of thousand of in 1973 only, for a measly 200 quid!!

Tough one to answer,

On looking back 2010 has been a big year for me and my shooting.

It started of with the NRA charging extra for gun storage at Bisley so I got the cabinets put in and moved the rifles home. Clearly a big bonus and as it was going to quickly turn out to be cheaper, the wife was in favour as well.

I think I got my Marlin 1894 .357 soon after, but despite enjoying shooting it, I have hardly had it out. Nice to see that it certainly has not lost value in the last year.

Guess the biggest addition was getting the Remington 700. That has seen a gap filled and given me something to compete with in F Class and McQueens again.

As a result of the spiralling cost of .308 ammunition, I ended up getting the basic components for re loading, as well as the Hornady powder thrower. That was suppose to save me money but so far I am not so sure.

In November I managed to replace the horrid Remington stock with a HS Precision adjustable stock, which was a much needed improvement and a relatively good buy from eBay.

We are still to find out how the new Barrel is to shoot!

By far the best acquisition this year has been adding Full - Bore UK to my Favourites list, nothing spent but much gained,

I would've to say a container of Redding Imperial Application ceramic media pre-charged with Imperial Dry Neck Lube. Much more convenient than using a messy spray or a lube pad.

A SIG SAUER 522... a pricey indulgence but a cool-looking fun gun which you can shoot all day!

Also, a Waffenfabrik Type "K" diopter sight system for my K31.

Mmmm, has to be either the Winchester 94AE for only £200 or perhaps the Rimfire Magic 10/22 for £250.

Sadly Ihave now filled up all the "cheap" slots on my ticket. 2011 is gonna hurt!
