target shooting in Bannockburn area

#1 Post by 3bravo »

Could any forum member from the central Scotland area advise me of a suitable target shooting(smallbore) club for my neice and nephew, both in their early 20's who have expressed an interest in taking up shooting. I live and work in Yorks so I can't get them with me, both drive so a bit of travel is not a problem.

There are three clubs up here in Dundee but perhaps a bit far to travel.

I would recommend Fife Centre Fire http://www.fifecentrefire.org.uk/

I went once before I joined my current club and found them to be friendly and helpful. They shoot full bore but not too much smallbore. There is a club in Dunfermline that.hat would cover that.

If you want more info about Dundee Rifle & Pistol Club then give me a shout.

Fife centrefire are nice lads, I am sure they would be welcome. There's also Cartside Rifle club full and small bore, 25m(outdoor in summer) at Dechmont Ranges and Clyde Valley Pistol Club in Ashgil, Lanarkshire.

thanks for all the helpfull replies I'll pass the information on to them, fullbore is the best bet but less expense to start on smallbore so they can make up their own mind
