When you say boring, do you mean it's very accurate? If that's the case we want a boring rifle! Really looking forward to the re-loading side of things as well, I want to squeeze every ounce of accuracy out of the rifles we getovenpaa wrote:Christel flatly refuses to shoot my AI, as far as she is concerned it is a boring rifle. If you want to go for the ultimate boring rifle get an AI chambered in 6,5x47 :goodjob:

Yes they are quite accurate, they work well in 7,62x51/.308 and you should be able hit or frighten what you can see with one. Remember you will need good glass and a 'scope rail as well, I shoot an AI/AE and use a S&B PMII with a one piece AI scope rings and it works well for me.

Welcome to you both.
To answer your FAC question, you need to be sure that both have permission to 'hold' each others firearms.

This page will help. It looks daunting, but as Chrystel says, someone on here will know the answer to your question.

The first one and the last one are just there to keep the one in the middle warm it is the better of the three you seePete_N_Jane wrote:Eh ? 6,5x47 6.5x55 7,62x51 what does it all mean ? how do you choose which one ?meles meles wrote:Hmm, and what might you clever oomans think of an AI in a proper cartridge, say 6.5x55 SWEDISH ?
The first number indicates caliber (barrel bore diameter) and the second number indicates cartridge case length in millimetres.

Welcome Pete 'n' Jane.
