Another one from Bedfordshire!
Hello all!,
I'm a complete newb to fullbore, having done a fair bit of clay pigeon, air rifle and even airsoft shooting in the past. I joined my local rifle club a few months ago now and am working my way through my provisional membership. I'm currently trying out as many different calibres and types of shooting as I can, so that when I (hopefully) become a full member and apply for my FAC I know what to ask for!
I had a great day down at Bisley last week using the clubs .223 and .308 Remingtons on the 600 yard Century range. Best part of the day was having a go of a Schmidt-Rubin .308 with just iron sights and scoring a 5!
What do you mean lucky?!?

Hi Tomo, welcome to the forum.
Great to see another one from around here.
Which club are you a member of?

Hi Christel, thanks for the welcome :)
I ended up joining BCRPA after attending a couple of open evenings in March and April. Everyone seemed pretty friendly, and the club offered quite a wide range of disciplines, all of which I wanted to try! So far apart from normal range nights, I've been on a Bisley shoot, tried an IPSC style practical rifle night and am on the email list for the practical shotgun too (if it ever stops raining!).

I believe that it is an old Scandinavian greeting and only courteous to enquire about such things.
