Shooting Glasses
After a cheap(ish) pair of shooting glasses to "get my eye in" haha.. just want to know if I'll get on with a pair... Not wanting to break the bank, as I'll have to get a lens made too which is going to make it an expensive item... Just wondered if anyone had a set that were lying around gathering dust that they'd let go?
I'm hoping to go ahead with Laser surgery at some point in the next 12 months, so as I say, don't want to break the bank, but I'm not looking to rob anyone either!
let me know what you've got and what you want :)

Re: Shooting Glasses
Sorry, wasn't talking about safety glasses, was talking about a shooting frame (one eye lense and blinder!) haha... Thanks for the vote for laser surgery though! I've been thinking about it for a while and not really made any positive steps towards it yet!

TG
you might want to try
forum.stirton.com
it's a more target shooter based forum with SH kit coming up fairly regularly, trouble is shooting frames tend to be expensive and any bargains few and far between

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Hiya Tatts,
I bought some Varga shooting glasses/frames for my father a few years ago - he got a lens for them, but only used them once (too fiddly), and have been in a cupboard ever since...so are as new.
He says you can have them for £40 (FB rates) if you like?
I'll post some pics tomorrow.....

Won't let me PM you, but yes, he is still an active member and part of the committee.
Re: Shooting Glasses
I make safety glasses that have vision correction installed that I have calculated to be ideal for shooting. If you email me:
The sight radius of your rifle, and the prescription for distance vision that you need in the shooting eye, I'd be happy to recommend the appropriate lens.
If you bought a Knobloch style pair of glasses that take round lenses, I can cut lenses to your needs, using impact resistant polycarbonate with AR coating.
Safety shooting glasses are $35, lenses are $40, shipping to UK is $5.
