Old Yachts

#1 Post by rufrdr »

The same harbor with the U.S.S. Turner Joy was hosting a gathering of wood hulled yachts. They were beautiful!

Very nice.

There is a meeting/festival in Struer which is on the Limfjord in Denmark. This meeting is called 'Around the Limfjord' and is sailing tour for old Danish sailing ships and copies, around 50 ships meet up in week 37 and then have a friendly battle to see who is the fastest and best sailor and they take the odd passengers as well so you get to see it first hand if you wish, Alternatively you can see them at the different ports on the Limfjord.

We visited it a couple of years ago.

It was evening so nearly dusk and a wet day so not great pictures even by my standards...
