For small bore it sounds like the thin edge of an unnecessary wedge to me.

The only time I've ever had a muzzle blast issue on the point was from a muzzle brake. Never from a plain muzzle.

If it's legal, why not? Shades of handgunners and rifle shooters in 97 here.

Not at all, I have no problem shooting alongside moderated rifles but I do object to any move to make it mandatory. This is actually the opposite of what you are inferring.

Also the OP appears to be asking what people thought of his list and reasons, the purpose of that was surely to have them challenged as that is what any decent FLO would do to check his purpose he is wanting them for. His reasons were challenged and he can take from that what he will.

Hi,

your list seems "nice" but under what police force are you?

I have found many differences on what they grant you and on what grounds depending on the police force.

For example ESSEX Police will not give you more than 4 authorities, slots, on first application. An also no more than 1200 to keep.
Bear in mind that "moderators" count as a fire arm.

Good luck!

Hi,
just to avoid any miss interpretation of my previous post:
It is neither a complaint nor a negative post.
I am happy with them, they are quick and my FEO is a nice and professional guy. For example today I asked a question to my FEO by email and in 5 minutes I had a reply!, if not they will phone me, leave messages....
They are very strict on what they give you and on what grounds, but it works for me because it is , more or less, following my evolution as a shooter and trying new disciplines and competitions.
When they say "NO" to something they explain why and tell you what you could do to get it in the future if it makes sense.

Regards,
