I meant to take some pics, kinda forgot!!!

L1 was brilliant, grateful that I finally got the chance to shoot one. It's definitely still on the shopping list. Great day out John, next time we'll make sure the weather's even better!

Hi Leigh,

I was quite taken with your Dragunov I must admit, very similar in handling, length, recoil and weight to the L1.....all in all, a very cool rifle mate!

I might just have to start a Russian arm of my collection, your AK is just great fun...to me Wednesday epitomises what shooting should be about, a bloody good laugh

with friends and good fun guns to play with.....must have a go on your L96 next time though, I do love shooting them!

Been down to Richard Storks today to buy some more GGG L1 food, so good to go when ever you guys can make it.

Lets do an open invite next time though and see how many members can get there, sorry we missed you Col, see you next time though.

Both the Dragunov and the L1A1 were brilliant, the AK was a blast. I too am thinking of starting a Russian collection. I think an open invite would be great the more the better. I wonder if we could book the whole range and have a FB day out get together BBQ fun day.

Not sure where to get hold of more, I picked up a bag of 60(ish) at my club auction back in November.... I thought a tenner for 60 bangs was pretty good value....

I have to admit, I do have a thing for all things Soviet..... Usually, in this weather I would have been wearing my white rabbit fur KGB ushanka on the range, not sure why I didn't bother last week. I told you what I'd given for my russian girls, they just couldn't be ignored and I'd have happily paid double for either of them. The AK is just such good fun, not at all ammo fussy, but you can't expect too much by way of accuracy beyond 100m with it.

I'll need to at least double my money on them to let them go. The Dragunov is such a rare beast and so much fun to let rip with.

Agreed to the open invite next time. Maybe we should start thinking about a date in May/June? Get something in the diary early and see how many of us we can get down there. Oh and Col, I even had an F-B hoodie on........

If you guys want to hire the range and keep fees down I'm only a few miles away and can bring a couple of others to spread the cost.

Got to say would be awesome to have a FBUK south west shoot

So hands up, how many FB member's would be interested in a FB South West day? Maybe we can start organising meets around the country. I think ranges like SevernSide where more members can attend as not all of us can shoot on MOD ranges would be ideal. Open to suggestions but I think it would be great if we could organise a few regular shoots.
