Thanks for the explanation. As I said, I was intrigued more than anything else.
I'd suggest you have a dig around the internet and identify your local club(s). If they have a website then so much the better as it should give you a flavour regarding the kind of things they get up to.
If you are happy with what you see then give the Club Secretary a call and ask him if you can visit. I'm sure that they'll be more than delighted to show you around. You can be a member of more than one club if you wish.
