I use Irfanview too and think it is very good.
Photobucket is a doddle to use for links you just copy the image url and paste it into your post the IMG code comes with it.
Not a fan of uploading direct to the site as it mucks about you pictures and puts those stupid lines around it.
Each to his own but I think photobucket linked pictures look far better than site uploads.

Google Picasa is also free and very simple to use.

I don't Know, but I'll wager they weren't there in 1940.

Well, regardless of how long they have been there it all looks very idyllic.
I must convince Ovenpaa that we must go there one day.
