He is always getting in new stock that doesn't always make it onto the site quickly (very busy chap)....the early bird catches the worm as they say, my advice is to give Richard a call and tell him what you are looking for.

For me, its all about originality with my milsurps, or as close as possible anyway, half the battle in my opinion, is buying from an RFD who has a passion for what he is doing, with an eye for detail and the in depth knowledge to locate correct spec firearms, (that Enfield anoraks like me want)....... example for you, Richard has a superb Savage No4 at the moment and he even made sure the magazine was Savage manufactured!

Its only a personal opinion, but I really don't like the No1 mk3 rebuilds that are around at the moment, to me they just don't look right and the new woodwork just kills the history (which is an important part of milsurp collecting) of these fine rifles stone dead.

Better still, find a reason to pop in and see him ! His workshop is a veritable treasure trove, there's always tea (or coffee for the oiks) on the go and Richard is a Class 1 Ooman. Devizes is well worth a visit too: nice market town and there a several pubs serving decent grubs within an ejector's throw of Richard's workshop. We have bought several rifles from him over several years and can't fault the service. His prices aren't the cheapest around but they reflect the quality on offer: in terms of value for money they can't be beaten.

It's a 6 hour round trip from here, but next time I go and see my Brother in Bristol I might pay him a visit.

It's even further than that for us to visit - we're a native of God's Own County - but consider an annual trip along the ley line to Devizes to be A Worthy Undertaking.

Well chaps, I am sure you have seen my new A4 Springfield gracing the Military section by now, what a superb rifle and another great deal from Mr Stork !!

I was looking at the many classic Enfields in stock last Friday, an absolutely stunning all matching 1912 dated No1 mk3 was a personal favorite.....mouth watering....I feel another variation coming on!

After a few emails and a chat, I drove to Richards shop today to purchase a lovely black rifle, which I actually saw on his web page when it was new nearly 18months ago. Really friendly bloke and took the time to show me how to strip to clean. Also managed to bag a load of ammo, primers, cases, dies, and boolits.

A great experience and well worth my 4 hour round trip. Thanks Richard
