just a thought but is it not possible to tig weld it back together?

It may be possible but the trigger and hammer would most probably not work. The part that has broken off engages with the trigger sear so it would have to be welded in exactly the same place so that the hammer/trigger geometry was not changed.

Yes I did think about that myself. As mentioned the precision required would be huge for such a small part. I'm good with welding girders..but hammers.. I'll give it a miss... Might be possible to have the part made using a cad/CNC type thing but then cost comes into it. I'm pretty pleased with the stock trigger with a lightened trigger spring and some polishing and cleaning. Feels pretty good. I think I'll just buy a timney in the new year...
