I'd have a few words with the step mum.
She was going to give her my address but she didn't know it thankfully!

250 metres - it will me almost imperceptible at that distance. You say that is the distance to the village - how far is the woman's house? The PCSO should have told your dad or you exactly where the house is - you are being "accused" and need to know exactly what/where it is supposed to have happened. Without that you cannot refute the allegations.
As for the donkey ... I shoot in a field with 10 or so Polo ponies running around and they are not worried by teh noise!

Just had a visit from the FEO. He said that there's nothing to worry about and told me to watch my rate of fire and angles etc.
However if there are more complaints about noise then the council could get involved. I might stick to the side by side 12b and only use the FAC pump for practical.

On the subject of shooting and noise theres a guy that lives opposite the MOD range at Llansilin that has constantly complained about the noise......what did he seriously expect when buying a house near a MOD firing range!!!!.

Are there rules against rate of fire? I've not read anything in the guidance...

He didn't actually say that, but that's what the person was complaining about.
I've occasionally done strings of 3-4 shots.

Oh noes, them naughty sniper/assassin/terrorist/animal slaughterer shooters are shooting their assault weapons (probably an AK47) at my house from their field while pointing the opposite way! I had better phone the authorities, then write a strongly worded letter to my local MP!
