Salut
The club I'm with has a 100m range which is fine for general shooting, or working a rifle in, but I have not yet found a range with anything past 200m yet.
I don't suppose you know of one in the Limoges, Clarmont Ferrand sort of area?

Well, sadly France is not Switzerland ...
Thanks to TAR finding 200 is ok-ish, but its pretty difficult to find anything past 200 meters. For Paris based shooters, Bisley is their kinda local range - I am not kidding.
Here is a map that will shot you some of the ranges according to the distance they offer.
However I notice it is not up-to date since there are 2 ranges in Rennes (35) that dont show on the map.

Re: Hello from France
Thank you very much for that link.
It looks like there's 600m range about 3 hours from me the south east.
But I need to get my rifle sorted out first, needs a new barrel.

The shooting holidays are nothing more than an idea at the moment, as I'm not 100% sure how to work it, if you get my meaning.Blackstuff wrote:Welcome

But the Gunsmithing, UK wise, is mainly going to be long range rifles, based on the Mosin Nagant action.
I must point out, it will be brand new production, not building rifles on old MN receivers. They will not be Mosin Nagant rifles.
I'm working a .338 Lapua version at the moment, as thats the larger end of the scale that "fits" the Mosin Nagant action, without it being massively scaled up.
But it's all work in progress tesnews , as soon as it's ready to shoot you'll all be the first to know.

Check the charter of your club but most French clubs will allow "guests".
When I take Roastifs chez les grenouilles I must "reserve" a lane and they have to shoot under my responsability & supervision, meaning they can't shot if I do, meaning I end up not shooting a lot. Also, most French clubs don't have a huge armoury so in my case we are limited to the club's couple of 38's, a shot-out F92 and my own hand-guns.
To be fair it's a tad fustrating as we have to rotate on the same shooting position, or two if few frogs show up.
So now we tend to go to the Czech Rep. There we can all blast as much ammo as possible with a huge variety of guns and it works out cheaper

Re: Hello from France
As I said the shooting holidays are only at the idea stage at the moment, My club is actually pretty accommodating, but I'll need to speak to the club president.
