As I said you don't need to involve the proof house if you're going from Sec2 to Sec1.

I have a Sec2 Benelli SuperNova, the mag tube is removable by heating and unscrewing it, simply transfer it to your FAC, remove the existing mag tube, screw in an un-crimped tube and off you go.

The ends of all my Sec1 and Sec2 shotguns (Hatsan Escort Semi, Benelli SuperNova & Remington 870 pumps) are "openable" and the spring/follower can be removed for cleaning or replacement.

Or, has anyone purchased a shotgun after 2010 and found the magazine tube pined/welded to the receiver ?

The Benelli is about 6 to 9 months old, I'm sure there's something on the 4islands site about doing it as well.
