I can confirm that the spring method is spot on.
My dad bought one and we fitted it to his Sako and the rifle that was returning 97-99's on a 10 spot 25 yard target promptly put up 2x 100's and a 99 on his league cards, after the spring change... £5 spring made my father very happy indeed!
