After buying a leg harness, I found that the 10 round magazines actually fit in the concealled AR mag pouches in the side leg pocket of my 5.11's very nicely, allowing 2 to be carried and one on the gun.

They ARE on my wish list for the zombie apocalypse, but what I meant was when I've finally done my probation and got my FAC!

Now that i've got the mag well filed to the point the 10rd mags will drop free on a closed bolt i thought f*** it and decided to cut the channel in the back of the mag well to allow the mags to drop free with the bolt open. Unfortunately i ran into a problem;

The channel that holds the spring which operates the bolt hold open device is located right next to the back of the mag well, so if i cut the grove for the magazine tab it would open the channel holding the spring, gggrrr!

Any ideas how to get around this? The only thing i can think of is artificially reducing the depth of the spring channel (by gluing a small metal sheet to the back of the channel?), and cutting the spring down :bad:

Blackstuff, I have to say many thanks for an awesome review.

I have also just got hold of a Bora 99 and currently waiting on a few bits to mod it further.
Your review has helped steer me and my thoughts especially with the belt and pouches as I intend to get involved with PSG this year.

I am interested in doing the buttstock modification but some are saying that this can't be done properly or is as straight forward than with the 1919, can any one confirm this?
