"The Dromia Rule"
Deer Stalking… reliable word of mouth recommendation from someone you know has undertaken such stalking being offered by a specific syndicate is best. Like other walks of life, stalking has its scammers. E.G., make sure there is deer, of the species sought, on the land being made available; that appropriate insurance is in place; that there is recourse for recompense if it all goes wrong. In addition, obtain and understand terms and conditions; consider the implications of allowing a syndicate leader to be a FAC mentor; make sure ‘coaches’ are suitably qualified; consider the quality of deer management, the construction & execution of a shooting plan and safety; determine if the land is over-shot.
If in doubt, contact BASC or similar.

Jenks, that kill was a setup mate. I later read that that hog was as tame as anything as it had been around humans since birth.

Now if only the Russian blacks I hunt got that big......a couple of guys on an Australian/NZ forum recently posted a pic of the monster they dropped. It was taken in an area of cane sugar and hag got ridiculously big. The pics showed it in the back of truck. The arse of the truck was straining and it took up the full flat bed.
We all thought it bo...cks and until some other known and trusted contributors backed them up.
For eating I prefer yearlings. The flesh is tender, they're easy to de-flea as they fit in a 55 gallon drum and they're easily halved for butchering. Ram a stainless steel rod down their length and use a machete.
A ripe old boar can smell and taste every bit as bad as a feral goat.

Supposing that needs must, how many people would that ripe old boar feed?
