Charlotte the Flyer..

Oh yes! American music, bring it on. How about this by the 'Venezuelan Simon Bolivar youth Orchestra' conducted by their gifted and equally
youthful conductor Gustavo Dudamel...

And how about Aaron Copelands Fanfare for the common man conducted here by The composer.(I'm sure there are better recordings but hey this is probably the only one of Copeland conducting it.)

sign92 so much for the recommendations, will have a listen.

Jenks,

A question that has always occurred to me is does the music you listen to depend on your mood or does the music you listen to influence your mood?

Both I think.

Jenks wrote:I'm thinking that the music I enjoy very much depends on my mood at the time I listen to it. I'm pretty sure that must be the same for most of us. Therefore it would be impossible for me to have a definitive one off favourite Some of the music I enjoy in no particular order of preference.

Scindlers list

Danzón No. 2 (Arturo Márquez)

Debussy: Clair de lune

Beethovens Emperor concerto especially this the slow movement..

Better stop now could go on forever, I haven't even got to Jaz, the Blues. Then there are the Beetles, Rolling Stones............... Any thing by Leon Russel

Bob Dylan.............. Really must stop or I will be on YouTube all day ;)

Jenks
Thanks Jenks,

The piece from Schindlers list is quite beautiful but I'm not so keen on the more piano based music in the other three.

My favourite rendition of this piece is by Kathleen Ferrier but I couldn't find it on the netty, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa gives it a certain smoothness though.

A pleasantly sharper presentation of the complete works sung by Victoria de los Angeles

Thank you Adam.
