There was a short film about a Spitfire and Messerschmitt dog fight 4-5 years ago, about 10 minutes long it was quite clever and they both end up going down, the question is where have they landed?

The IL-2 Sturmovik is worthy of a mention as the Russian equivalent of the Typhoon.A very effective tank-buster and ground attack aircraft, quoted by Stalin as "being as important to the Red Army as bread and air".

the Typhoon was without doubt a great aircraft but the Hawker Tempest V was even better. Have a look at this video, it's long and highly informative.

If anyone on here has contact with Andy Gent...Match Rifle and 300m shooter....he has flown Spitfires in recent times and it would be interesting to hear what he thinks about flying them....
